Revision Ethnic Rhinoplasty Case 3

Gender
Female
Age
45

Description

45 year old Hispanic female from Brazil who underwent her Primary Rhinoplasty Surgery in 2006 with another surgeon. She was not pleased with the results, so she had a Revision Rhinoplasty in 2010 with the same doctor. After her Revision Surgery with this doctor, she was still disappointed and complained of a bulbous tip, poorly-defined bridge, and a Pollybeak Deformity. Dr. Slupchynskyj performed an Open Revision Rhinoplasty, de-bulking her tip while removing fatty tissue, in addition to scar tissue.

Dr. Slupchynskyj’s technique greatly improved her tip and resolved the Pollybeak Deformity. Additionally, Dr. Slupchynskyj placed custom carved cartilage grafts in the tip to further decrease the bulbosity. Dr. Slupchynskyj also placed a custom carved silastic implant (SLUPimplant™) to raise the bridge and nasofrontal angle. The SLUPimplant™ refined her nose by tapering the bridge and adding height. The patient is extremely happy with her results.
